Ladies get active in new initiative

A new 'Try-it-for-10' activity programme developed through the Let's Get Moving Cambridge team has been a great success with ladies in the Chesterton area. 15 women took part in the 10 week programme aimed at targeting women who are not familiar with a gym environment and live locally to RP Fitness centre in Chesterton where it was held. They attended one physical activity session per week where they got to trial various activities including indoor cycling, circuits, boxercise, kettlebells, pilates and more. Power 2 Inspire delivering Inclusive Sport in Local Communities

A new programme being delivered by Power 2 Inspire has just launched in Fenland, Huntingdonshire and East Cambridgeshire providing opportunities for children to take part in Inclusive sports sessions. Power 2 Inspire is a Cambridge based inclusive sports charity whose mission is to embed inclusive sport in the sporting, education and community landscapes. The charity delivers inclusive sports days mainly in schools using adapted and inclusive games and sports activities. The inclusive sports appeal to people with disabilities but also engage “non sporty” children.
